Throughout the years, I’ve done various custom projects as commissions and gifts for friends and family. I learned to work with different people’s specific personalities and aesthetics to create custom pieces that fit exactly what they wanted, even if sometimes they couldn’t initially describe what they were looking for.
These projects taught me a lot about working with people, and especially learning to put my own preferences aside in service of someone else’s, while still incorporating the parts of my work that made them seek me out
MOODBOARD
Bennett Bag
This bag was created as a secret Santa gift for my friend. I wanted to combine my interest in softer looking fiber arts styles with his interest in more tech-wear inspired styles.
I knitted the base of the bag out of paracord at weaved the edges together using a braid of rip-stop tubes. I carved a small fish charm to add another texture, and to call back to my friend’s interest in fishing.

Joy Bonnet
This piece was done as part of an art trade with a friend. They sent me this moodboard, looking for something knit. I was able to track down the pattern to a specific knit bonnet they had saved.
The pattern is the Seascape Bonnet, by Catherine Hall on ravelry. I used the rest of their moodboard as color pallet inspiration, and I adapted the pattern slightly to fit their preferences and yarn choices.

Ronan Jeans
This is the first pair of jeans I’ve made, as a Christmas present for my brother. My brother is 6’4” and very skinny. As a result, he has no pants that fit him just right. I built a basic pant pattern from his measurements, and figured out how to add on pockets and a fly.
I did several tests, modifying them as I went so that the fit was perfect. I added pleats and seams up the front and back, angled pockets, and wine-colored contrasting stitching for a more elevated look that fits my brother’s style.
